Festiniog & Portmadoc Slate Works siding, 9 October 1948. The former Gorsedda Tramway route peters out in the distance, whereupon it reversed back to access the rear of the works. Note the size of the chimney. The photographer is stood just beyond Snowdon Street Crossing on the Snowdon Flour Mill loop line. The WHR mainline passes to the right towards the Cambrian Crossing and Porthmadog New Stations (long since closed by the time of this scene). Flour traffic continued from this location right up until the end of goods traffic on the FR.
