This was obviously staged, and the event was noted in an article in Herald Cymraeg of 13th August 1869, so it can be accurately dated to July 1869. To the right of the locomotive is a siding for Graig Ddu slate wagons but no incline access. To the left of the station building, a secure compound has been erected. The station is no longer manned
