Title
Bleasdale No.12 Bogie Luggage & Guards Van No.1
Van No.1 photographed at Porthmadog in August 1887. This photograph is Plate 10 in the Spooner Album. This profile of the railway's first small bogie van shows the use of different couplings as these vehicles were invariably the link between passenger carriages and goods stock. The top end uses a chopper for coupling to bogie carriages, whilst the the bottom end has a hook and link under the balcony for attaching goods stock.

The van is sat at the throat of Porthmadog Harbour Station which was used as a location by Bleasdale to shoot a variety of the railway's locomotives, carriages, and waggons, later finding their way into the Spooner Album.
