Two Birmingham carriages, Nos 11 & 1 on the Cob. Photographed at Porthmadog in August 1887. This photograph is plate 8 in the Spooner Album. Fitted with back to back seating. 1st class carriage newly rebuilt as a semi-open carriage. No. 11 is an open 3rd class with canvas/leather awning and aprons. Screw coupling attached to down end of 1st class carriage, plain hook on Up end of 3rd class.
