Title
Merddin Emrys & Earl of Merioneth (II) at Boston Lodge.
Merddin Emrys & Earl of Merioneth (II) at Boston Lodge Works, July 1979. Also seen here in the Bottom Yard are the diesels Upnor Castle and Moel Hebog. The waggons include Fuel Oil Tanker No. 61 (ex-WD type D bogie), Covered Goods Van No. 99, a 3-ton slate waggon in use as a MPU, and the ex-Penrhyn Quarry tipper slave waggon outside the works lobby on 1-Road. The scaffolding suggests this was not long after the Works Chimney had been demolished and that preparations are underway to extend offices over the Machine Shop. Note the sand drier in the foreground on the left, regularly used with material from the beach below Glan y Mor.
