Title
Boston Lodge Top Yard.
Date
19/04/1959
Boston Lodge Works Top Yard, 19 April 1959. The yard was employed as a dumping group for various items of rolling stock in this period. On the sandpit siding are Gunpowder Van 152 and the cement-mixer waggon. Covered Goods Van No. 101 (renumbered as 154) is on the curved siding towards the Joiners Shop - note the removable track panel where it intersects with the straight siding into the Waggon Repair Shop. Other waggons include the three Croesor waggons seemingly full of locomotive ash, iron 2-ton coal waggon, the chassis of the weed-killer waggon, and side tippers No. 846 and recently restored No. 830.
