Cwmorthin Incline, 25 May 1957. The siding in the foreground was used to store waggons awaiting collection. This was a very cramped location with little space between the incline and the mainline. For this reason its operation was protected by the disc signal at Penlan. Note the closed gate, road bridge, and drumhouse on the skyline.
