Track removal gang at Glanrafon Sidings, Autumn 1941. The siding leading to the quarry incline is still in situ to the right of the works train. George Cohen, Sons & Co. Ltd with 40hp Simplex locomotive. The bogie flat with the loaded sleepers is the frame from one of the early NWNG Ashbury Brake Composites. The rail bolsters are ex-NWNG slate waggons. This is the northern gang working towards Dinas, the section around Pitts Head having been left in situ for use by the military. Llyn Cwellyn in the background.
