Title
FR Covered Goods Van No. 101 at Beddgelert.
FR Covered Goods Van No. 101 at Beddgelert Station on the Down line, fitted with hinged end doors and rated for 4-tons. The FR vehicle to the left is a large 4-ton coal waggon. Note the tare weights painted on each vehicle (1-12-2 and 1-10-0 respectively). The waggon to the right is unclear although it looks like it could be based off a slate waggon chassis. Beddgelert water tank in background. Scene from the 1930's. This station was where the bulk of goods carried on the WHR (other than slate) were either loaded or unloaded. Incoming goods were primarily coal and items for shops, hotels and farms.
