Title
Blanche at Dduallt Cei Bog.
Blanche at Dduallt Cie Bog with ex-Smiths Bocoal No. 63, September 1970. Note that this waggon, unlike its smaller companions, is piped for vacuum fitted trains. The locomotive is still coal fired, retains slide valves, and is yet to be fitted with a front pony truck. Spoil from the new tunnel is being dumped from the embankment. The raised ground level that resulted was used to accommodate the track formation at the top end of the new station.

Note the semi-permanent way made with second hand chaired track material and the best sleepers removed from FR main line which allowed steam locomotives to operate on the Deviation before permanent way with flat bottom rail and jarrah sleepers was laid for service trains.
