Aberglaslyn Tunnels, 8 August 1935. The photographer is stood in T2 looking towards the shorter T3. Few photographs better illustrate the sublime beauty along this section of the line within the pass. Note the fixture for the originally intended overhead electric power lines for the Portmadoc, Beddgelert and South Snowdon Railway scheme. These tunnels were largely complete when the project was suspended at the outbreak of the First World War.
