Taliesin (II) at Porthmadog Harbour Station circa July - August 1939. The passenger train in the platform road includes Small Birmingham 4-wheelers Nos 3, 11 & 12 (the semi-open porthole carriages). The two bogies are ex-WHR Ashbury summer carriage No. 23 and Ashbury No. 21. Small Birmingham Nos 4 & 2 can be glimpsed on the left. Semaphore signal and goods shed (with attractively signed doors) to the right. Tom Davies is stood beside the locomotive, probably the rostered fireman, whilst the driver is probably his elder brother Will Davies.
