Earl of Merioneth (I) at Porthmadog Harbour Station, September 1971. The red rods and white tyres date from its 1967 repaint by old company painter Tommy Morgan. This was the locomotive's last season in operation. Its last run involved a special train to Barn cutting on the new Deviation (Sunday 31 October). Britannia Foundry centre right.
