File metadata
Passenger train at GWR Exchange Station. Seen here are Bowsider carriage No. 17 or 18, and Small Birmingham 4-wheelers Nos 11, 2, 12 & 3. Queen's Bridge in the background still retains its original metal deck, and is yet to be rebuilt in stone, whilst No. 3 at the rear of the train is freshly repainted. Looking at other photographs from this period, the photograph must have been taken in summer (possibly August as per iBase 1635) 1933, after No. 3 was repainted but before the bridge was rebuilt. As Duffws Station was closed to passengers by the time of this photograph, the locomotive will have terminated the train in the platform and run around its train in the loop ready for returning down the line.
