Minffordd Yard Exchange Sidings and Cambrian Station, 30 March 1959. The 12.45pm Pwhelli to Barmouth and Birkenhead (W) is being hauled by GWR 4500 class 2-6-2T 'Small Prairie' No 4549. This locomotive retains inside steam pipes and was mostly allocated at Machynlleth through out the 1950s before moving to the West Country. The passenger train is comprised of a Hawkesworth Brake 3rd, Collett 3rd, Hawkesworth composite,and another Hawkesworth brake 3rd. Corrugated iron station building and signal box on the right.
