The first passenger train on the 'new FR' was not a public one but a celebratory special from Porthmadog to Minffordd put on to honour sixty years of service by the Manager, Robert Evans in 1954. Here he is (3rd from right) with Mrs. Evans and the new FR hierarchy, trampling the hay flat in a rudely awoken Minffordd Station. (G.Charles).
