Votty & Bowydd Wharf in Minffordd Yard. The BR gunpowder vans in the standard-gauge sunken road are being stabled for Cooke's Explosive Works traffic (there being never enough space in the factory sidings and at Penrhyndeudraeth (Cambrian) station. Several are of the famous Iron Mink design. This area of the yard is now known as Dingley Dell. The jumble of assorted slate waggons, many of them wooden, dates the scene around 1950.
