Welsh Pony at Beddgelert Station, 20 July 1934. Station cutting earthworks still looking freshly dug. The full extent of the locomotive's wonky dome cover is plain to see from this angle, as is the panelled paint scheme. FR Brown Marshalls Van No. 4 next to the locomotive, having been turned for regular duties on the WHR. Note the rear door which enabled a guard to work the chain to release tails of slate waggons from Up trains on the FR.
