Tanygrisiau Station as seen from an Up train, 7 August 1935. The loop line was as a rule only used for goods traffic, usually shunting undertaken by the Top Shunter.
The station name board is presumably screwed to the wall with support legs underneath. Above the ticket window is a large cased clock, and the station has electric lighting, though only a couple of lamps are visible. The brick diamond blocks, slate platform edge, and the pillars stood on slate bases are similar to those at Penrhyn. The two platform seats have the same end scroll work as did those at Dduallt and Penrhyn which still survive to this day.
The furthest goods shed (corrugated tin) has a chimney. Besides this stands the derelict signal, ground frame, and waggon turntable which accessed the goods shed and sidings, the furthest of which can be seen heading towards the gate in the distance. Beyond the gate lies the end of the main village road.
