Title
Taliesin (II) and Down train crossing the Cambrian at Minffordd.
Date
08/07/1936
Taliesin (II) with a Down train crossing the Cambrian at Minffordd, 8 July 1936. Brown Marshalls Van No. 4 next to the locomotive, with Bowsider No. 19 or 20 being the next carriage behind. Corrugated iron station building on the left, along with the signal box controlling access to the yard exchange sidings. Note the standard-gauge waggons belonging to the LMS and SR on the right. Although the Cambrian was GWR territory, waggons belonging to the 'Big Four' were regularly seen all over the country under the common user agreement, which made the transit of goods throughout the network much more straightforward.
