Works Staff & Waggons, probably in Glan y Mor Yard behind Boston Lodge Works with the sea in the background. On the left is Harry Griffiths (Painter). Standing with pipe is possibly David Williams (Carpenter). The man with the brimmed hat holding the ring is Hugh Roberts (Sawyer). On the right is probably John Jeffrey Roberts (Carriage Fitter).
The assortment of goods stock in the background is noteworthy. On the left is the Brine Tank Waggon. Immediately behind the men are a pair of wooden coal waggons. On the right are a pair of wooden bolster waggons parked side by side, together with an A-Frame donkey slab, and an iron 3-ton coal waggon.
Just making it into shot is the cab from one of the England locomotives. It retains large Victorian oval works plates. This combined with the width of the cabside sheet indicates that it probably belongs to Princess and had been removed and dumped in the yard during an overhaul. Combined with the works staff posing for the photographer, this dates the scene to around 1921.
