File metadata
The Cob looking towards Boston Lodge, September 1940. This shows the rear of the trident signals that controlled access into Porthmadog Harbour Station, although as the railway was no longer running passenger services by this time, most slate trains terminated at Minffordd. This is the earliest photograph showing the then brand-new concrete wave wall. Pedestrians walk along the railway, whilst large lorries proceed along the toll road.
