Palmerston derelict in Boston Lodge Top Yard, 1945 - 1946. The locomotive had been in use as a stationary boiler to supply power to the steam hammer in the Blacksmiths Shop (right). In the background, the yard is chocked with abandoned slate waggons and foliage, whilst the Waggon Repair Shop's roof is already in terminal disrepair.
