Preparing Prince's new boiler on 3-Road, Boston Lodge Erecting Shop, February 1955. From left to right are Allan GW Garraway, E Cooper, Morris W. Jones, and Arwyn Morgan. A hand worked ratchet drill stand is being set up on the rear of the boiler. In the background on 2-Road can be seen Taliesin (II) and its removed bottom end bogie, wheelset in foreground, having been in mid-overhaul when the line shut. Morris Jones was leading chargehand under the old company and had been Acting Locomotive Superintendent & Works Manager when the railway closed. Arwyn Morgan became his apprentice in the preservation era.
