Taliesin (I) passing Minffordd Yard, 1905. This scene is one of the earliest showing a rebuilt semi-open porthole Small Birmingham 4-wheeler (either No. 12 or 13), at this time fitted with large glazed windows. The bogie carriage is one of the then relatively new Ashbury tourist vehicles (either No. 21 or 22) wearing the original two tone ornate livery, likely painted in purple brown and cream. The next vehicle is harder to identify but given the gap between it and the Ashbury it seems to be a bogie carriage fitted with balconies, probably one of the Bowsiders. Minffordd Goods Shed is prominent down in the yard, with a standard-gauge waggon parked on the Votty & Bowydd Wharf siding. It is interesting to note how much the oak trees in the meadow have grown up since this photograph was taken. Note the yard junction hut and entrance gate visible behind Taliesin.
