Title
Taliesin (I) at Porthmadog Harbour Station.
Taliesin (I) at Porthmadog Harbour Station near the far end of Britannia Foundry. The locomotive has recently been rebuilt into its final condition, fitted with the second boiler, larger tanks and cab, and widmark draincocks. The trailing axleboxes have been replaced. Note the small oval No. 7 plate and the new nameplates. The fitting of vacuum brake pipes and the presence of a young Morris Davies as driver, dates the scene between 1901 - 1904. Note the driver's lunch basket visible on the back shelf inside the cab. The paintwork is worn but well kept, with the garter symbol clear on the cabside.
