Date
19/04/1959
Boston Lodge Works Blacksmiths Shop & Top Yard viewed from the headland, 19 April 1959. The yard was employed as a dumping group for various items of rolling stock in this period. On the sandpit siding are Gunpowder Van 152 and the cement-mixer waggon. Covered Goods Van No. 101 (renumbered as 154) is on the curved siding towards the Joiners Shop. Other waggons include the three Croesor waggons seemingly full of locomotive ash, iron 2-ton coal waggon, the chassis of the weed-killer waggon, and side tippers No. 846 and recently restored No. 830.
