Merddin Emrys at Porthmadog New Station, 1934. The passenger train consists of Small Birmingham 4-wheeler carriages Nos 11 or 12, 5, 2, 4, 3, Bowsider No. 18, and Brown Marshalls Van No. 4. The train is preparing to depart towards Harbour Station. Water tank and Cambrian Crossing in the background. Note that at least on the top end the locomotive is fitted with its original power bogies (identifiable by the rivet spacing on the buffer block).
