Taliesin (II) on a Down train at Stesion Fain. The locomotive has received mechanical draincock and the '05' has been removed from the works plate but not replaced with anything else. These and the position of vacuum dolly on front apron suggest the photograph was taken in 1935. The faded state of the paintwork on either end of the tanks is very telling in this scene. Bogie Van No. 2 is the first vehicle in the train. In the ex-LNWR yard can be seen a non-corridor braked 3rd class composite carriage. Oakeley tips and incline drumhouse on the skyline.
