Minffordd Mineral Line, 2 October 1955. These slate and granite waggons (converted from 3-ton slate) have been recovered from the quarries and sidings at the top of the line. The Simplex Mary Ann was used to collect these vehicles before the railway was lifted to make way for the new hydroelectric power station. The rake seen here is of considerable length, continuing down the mineral line towards the yard entrance.
