Title
Derelict Stock in Boston Lodge Bottom Yard.
Date
15/09/1949
Derelict Stock at Boston Lodge Works, 15 September 1949. Moel Tryfan's tanks and cab, the Hearse Van, and Ashbury No. 21 are on the far left. Brown Marshalls bogie carriage No. 16 and Bowsider No. 19 are straight ahead. Moel Tryfan's rear bogie and bunker can be glimpsed near 1-Road, carriage No. 15, mk3 quarrymen's carriage No. 8, and Covered Goods Van No. 116 are on 2-Road, with the weed-killer waggon in front of the Erecting Shop. In the foreground a covered goods van with hinged end doors and two 3-ton slate waggons occupy the entrance to the Long Shed. An ex-WD trolley chassis can be seen on 3-Road (possibly the remains of a Fairbanks Morse speeder), whilst just visible next to the long shed annex is what appears to be one of the steel framed England tenders, presumably that belonging to Prince which was under overhaul when the line closed.
