Derelict stock, Boston Lodge Top Yard, April 1958. In the foreground along with various waggon wheelsets are Moel Tryfan's rear bogie and the bomb trolley (used for moving shell casings out of the machine shop during the First World War).
On the main siding is the weed-killer waggon (minus the tank), the two covered goods vans No. 116 and No. 101 (these two vans survive today as Nos 99 & 154), a granite waggon (converted from 3-ton slate), a carriage bogie frame resting on a very low bolster waggon/trolley, more granite waggons with upper extensions missing, a wooden 4-ton coal waggon with its end door removed, and the Breakdown Van (mk2 quarrymen's conversion). Palmerston still in situ as stationary boiler for foundry steam hammer, and rear cab doors are shut. Wall and arch by boiler house still in place. Note the hoist on the left hand wall for manipulating larger items in/out of the smithy and the waggon turntable underneath the first granite waggon.
Moving round clockwise the buildings are: Blacksmiths Shop, Foundry, Machine Shop, Boiler House, Brass Foundry, Old Oil Store.
