Livingston Thompson at Porthmadog Harbour Station, 28 April 1905. The passenger train comprises a mk3 quarrymen's carriage, a 3rd class Small Birmingham, Bowsiders Nos 17 & 18, and one of the large Brown Marshalls bogie brake vans (No. 4 or 5). The 4-wheeler in the siding is one of the 3rd class Ashbury carriages. The distinctive Russells' Watches advertisement helps date the scene. Even in the Edwardian period the Harbour could still see a large number of sailing ships tied up on the wharves, as the masts and rigging in this photograph demonstrates.
Source. Autochrom pictorial postcard.
