Date
03/06/1932
Boston Lodge Engine Shed, 3 June 1932. Disc signal post centre right. Note the spacing of the smoke ventilators, two being required for double engines, and the pilled ash on the left. Outside the tin shed are a 3-ton slate waggon and a wooden 2-ton coal waggon (for coaling locomotives lighting up and coming off shed). The appears to be a locomotive on the mainline taking water between the sandpit and the engine shed, possibly Taliesin (II). A separate photograph taken on this day shows this locomotive outside the shed being readied for the day ahead.

Other features include the toll road bottom left, the GPO telegraph pole, a very marshy Traeth Mawr, the Cambrian Coast railway bridge over the Afon Glaslyn, and Minffordd Quarry in the distance.
