Prince on Boston Lodge Curve with an Up train.

Prince on Boston Lodge Curve with an Up train, August 1955. The short formation at this time only included ex-WHR Ashbury summer carriage No. 23 and Brown Marshalls Van No. 5. Services were only running to the halt at the time, with Prince newly returned to service. Boston Lodge Works is still very much in old company condition, particularly the large stone wall and archway erected around the Bottom Yard. The photographer appears to be stood at the top of the stone steps leading up from the toll road. Motor cars are passing too and from the toll house out of shot on the right.
