Princess being prepared at Minffordd Weighbridge Crossing for a trip up the line with empty slate waggons, 24 July 1946. Tom Davies on the left and Will Davies on the right. Reverend Edmonds bicycle visible leant against the crossing gate. The meadow visible behind became the site of the Volunteer Hostel. Note the modified works plate marking the locomotive's last overhaul.
