File metadata
Merddin Emrys at Tan y Bwlch during the Centenary of Steam Press Day, 22 May 1963. The locomotive retains the old company Vulcan Foundry waggon top boiler and the 'new' cab uses the front sheets from the original. Note the red rods and white wheels. The fireman is Dave Baskcomb and the driver is Evan Davies.
Prince is just within sight on the up line with a train of 4-wheeler Small Birmingham carriages. Note the recently rebuilt and extended carriage No. 12 (ex-Brown Marshalls Van No. 5). The siding for the goods shed is in the foreground, complete with metal chock.
