Covered Goods Vans on the flour siding at Penrhyn Station, probably in the late 1930's. This photograph happens to show the three main conventional types of van used by the FR. The nearest shallow arc roof van uses sliding doors, with that behind it, whilst being of the same overall shape, uses hinged end doors instead. The next pair are the slightly smaller high arc roof type, both with hinged end doors (the rearmost van is probably No. 101, note the small ventilation hatch visible in the upper left-hand corner). The larger van at the rear is Cleminson Waggon No. 8 complete with corrugated iron roof, having been specially modified for the flour traffic that was transported from Snowdon Mill to the Penrhyn Bakery.
