Votty & Bowydd Incline Road Crossing looking up towards the drumhouse, 1949 - 1951. The photographer is stood very close to the operational summit where waggons were attached and detached from the cable, although the drumhouse stands a way further up the mountain, the upper part of the incline having been decommissioned, and the tracks cut short and slewed off left. The overhead bridge with dry stone buttresses carries a tramway between the waste tips and the mill. The road running down to the right joins onto Lord Street. Sheep on the crossing.
