Date
05/09/1906
Taliesin (I) and Little Giant at Duffws, 5 September 1906. Stood near the far end of the station complex, the lines seen here were for locomotive servicing and the marshalling of goods waggons, particularly those destined for Dolgaregddu Incline (Rhiwbach No. 1 out of sight around the corner to the left) or Votty & Bowydd Incline, the foot of which can be seen straight ahead.

Little Giant as Top Shunter is shunting a rake of non-slate stock. The nearest gunpowder van is quite large and does not look like one of the surviving examples. The second one is a similar profile to No. 152. It has extra strapping holding the body down, which might mean it is on a wooden underframe. In-between these and the locomotive are a pair of wooden 4-ton coal waggons. The rake of loaded slate waggons includes inside bearing wooden 2-ton & 1-ton coal waggons. Loaded iron bolster waggon on the far left siding.
