Duffws Station looking Up, 5 September 1906. Little Giant is on Top Shunter duties in the yard. The England locomotive's driver standing beside his charge appears to be William Evans. Taliesin (I) stands at the water tank having left its passenger train in the platform. This comprises one of the large Brown Marshalls vans (No. 4 or 5), Bowsiders Nos 17 & 18, 1st class semi-open Small Birmingham carriages Nos 1 & 2, and another 4-wheeler (3rd class). On the left in the goods siding are gunpowder vans, wooden 4-ton & iron 3-ton coal waggons, loaded wooden bolster waggons, as well as the usual slates. This vantage point provides an excellent view of Votty & Bowydd incline in background.
