Date

Quarrymen's Train at Duffws Station, 8 September 1906. It comprises a long rake of mk3 quarrymen's carriages together with Ashbury bogie carriage No. 22 (note the grubby cream and purple livery) and a Curly Roofed Van on the bottom end. Stabled in the headshunt at the far end of the station complex are five of the Ashbury 4-wheelers, including Nos 10 & 14 (those carriages fitted with dual central windows). The differing bodywork on some of the quarrymen's carriages probably identifies them as having been built in a different batch. Just visible inside the quarrymen's train covered road behind the station water tank is what looks like the Hearse Van, or a similar covered goods vehicle based off a mk2 quarrymen's carriage.
