The ALCo Mountaineer arriving at Dduallt, 1971. Merddin Emrys is stabled in the down platform behind the camera with the AGM special. Note the Up Home signal which is in the off/clear position. The train consists of carriages Nos 17, 16, and five of the six new barn carriages; Nos 104, 105, Buffet Car 103, 106, and Observation Car No. 101. The locomotive is carrying the bell from the original Mountaineer and the smokebox is painted in silver.
