Earl of Merioneth (I) and C set at Tan y Bwlch, 26th April 1969 (AGM day). The Up train (hauled by the ALCo Mountaineer and Blanche) is comprised of varnished barn stock including Observation Car No. 100. Note how short in length each train set was at this time, easily within station limits. The twin clocks are showing the departure times of the next train on each platform, and were manually controlled by John Harrison.
Vehicles in the carpark include a Triumph TR4A, Morris Oxford estate, Austin A40 Farina, and on the far right a Renault 8.
