Welsh Pony approaching Stesion Fain with a Down passenger train, August 1933. The locomotive is painted in the notorious light blue livery. Brown Marshalls Van No. 5 is next to the locomotive, followed by Ashbury No. 21, Bowsider No. 17 or 18, and Small Birmingham 4-wheelers. North Western Hotel, Market Hall, and Dorfil Road Bridge can be seen in the background. The rear of the train is passing over the junction into the ex-LNWR (LMS) exchange yard which passes underneath North Western Road on the left. The photographer is stood on the bottom flight of steps of the Blaenau Ffestiniog Footbridge situated above Stesion Fain.
