Moel Tryfan at Croesor Junction, 3 April 1926. The locomotive is preparing to couple onto Pickering Brake Composite No. 8 which is out of shot beyond the loop points on the right. Moel Tryfan will continue this service back to Dinas, whilst Princess (out of shot to the left on the loop line) will return to Porthmadog with the train Moel Tryfan had worked here from Dinas. This timetable avoided passengers having to change trains, but ensured that locomotives were swapped to allow their return to their original starting point.
