File metadata
Palmerston after its rebuild as Top Shunter at Stesion Fain on the Glan y Pwll line, 1933. Note the ground frame and crossover. A taller dome cover has been fitted over the newly installed boiler from Little Giant (cut down to size) which has the regulator valve housed within the dome. The electric headlamp is from the Baldwin Tractor, and has been fitted with a rechargeable, wet cell, accumulator clamped to the right of the smokebox. Brake Van No. 5 (formerly a mk3 quarrymen's carriage rebuilt with single balcony) is coupled in front of the locomotive. The rake of waggons behind the locomotive comprises two LNWR 2-ton slate waggons, a GWR 2-ton slate waggon, and at least three FR iron 2-ton slate waggons. Note the distinct axle boxes distinguishing the three types. Glan y Pwll School in the background.
