First Steam Train to Glan y Pwll, 11th December 1981. Blanche passes Fridd Llwyd, with Moelwyn top and tailing at the other end. Phil Girdlestone was the driver and Dave Barlow the fireman. The train was initially double headed, with Moelwyn then running separately to help with shunting at Glan y Pwll. Moelwyn's driver might be Fred Howes. Two interested bystanders look on from Groby Junction. The waggons in the PW train include the wooden bolster set, the iron bolster set, and a pair of Bocoals.
