Title
Bleasdale No.21 Boston Lodge Bottom Yard.
Boston Lodge Bottom Yard, Summer 1887. The Works chimney is very evident and differs greatly from the brick rectangular chimney of later years. Princess is stood on 2-Road outside the then relatively new Erecting Shop. This view shows the extent of the turntable complex on 1-Road. The 2-ton slate waggons include a pair of wooded inside-bearing examples, coupled to a large 4-ton coal waggon No. 96.

In the background on the right angle sawmill road is a wooden flat waggon. It looks similar to the vehicle later used as a chassis for the weed-killer waggon. Note the gated entrance into the Top Yard on the left behind the timber and coal.
