Merddin Emrys on Down train at Minffordd Station, 31 August 1926. Brown Marshalls Van No. 4 or 5 leading the train, followed by bogie carriage No. 15 or 16. The locomotive has stopped a long way up the station, suggesting a short train, and even the rear vehicles may be beyond the end of the platform. Although quite dirty, the company crests on the cab side from its last fully lined repaint are clearly visible.
